Believe it or not, gardening coaches are sprouting up everywhere, ready to help clients tackle their urban jungles. New home owners now challenged with a backyard to tame, are getting tips and advice from coaches ready to get their hands dirty. Identifying and controlling weeds, seasonal planning, pesticide-free lawn care, and even landscape architecture projects become less overwhelming for gardening neophytes with the help of an expert by their side.

Laugh if you want, but it's not a bad idea. Having someone walk you through a project, especially for the first time, usually ensures you do the job right, enjoy it, and want to use the new skills to do it again.
