Tin Ceiling Charm

A great feature of the pre-war apartment I rented years ago in Brooklyn, was the tin tiled ceiling that brought character and charm to the otherwise dilapidated building. The tile pattern, reminiscent of turn-of-the-century style, enriched my one-room, post-college studio in ways that the modern cathedral ceilings of the apartment I’ve since upgraded to cannot.

Maybe one day I’ll decide to remodel my new home with tin tiles - there are many tempting patterns in classic and modern styles available, like these here. For the time being, I’m enjoying this beautiful wall hanging from Sundance that was salvaged from the tin ceiling of a century-old movie house. It gives my wall a little touch of classic beauty that I bet would look great in your home, too.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Rachel
