Winning Wipes

I conducted a non-scientific test of surface disinfecting wipes on my desk this morning. I tested the new Mr. Clean Power Multi-Surface wipes against the leading disinfecting wipes made by Clorox – each wipe got its own half of my coffee-stained desk to clean. My hypothesis argued that because the Mr. Clean wipes were thicker and textured, they would produce superior results. Not so much, really.

Packaging: Mr. Clean had an easy-glide dispenser and I struggled to thread wipes though the Clorox canister.

Fragrance: Both wipes were lemon scented, though the Clorox wipes smelled fresher, cleaner.

Performance: Mr. Clean’s thick, textured wipes looked promising, but I had to use three to do the job, while I only needed one of the Clorox wipes, which appeared to be moistened with far more cleaning product.

I have nothing against the bald guy (except for that earring, maybe) who does get the job done, but in the end, I found Clorox to be the leading wipe for a very good reason.
