Real or Fake?
|
I haven’t gotten my Christmas tree yet because I can’t decide if I want a live or artificial one.
A real tree definitely has some major pros – like the fresh pine fragrance that fills the house – but the issue of cleaning up the needles as they dry and drop, makes me lean towards the kind of tree that comes in a box and requires no watering.
I'm more likely to consider a real tree if I use the Ever-Green tree watering system – basically a reservoir disguised as a present, that sits under the tree and automatically refills the stand as needed. This way I can go out of town without worrying about coming home to a needle-less tree, and don’t have to climb under branches or battle sap to manually water it.
But, I’ve seem some really pretty artificial trees - like these here. With the help of a pine-scented candle, I think they would be absolutely fantastic.
Which kind of a tree are you putting up this year?

I skip the tree altogether and just put up lights around the house. This way, we have a festive feeling in the house without wasting space (by storing a fake tree) or killing a healthy tree!

We have an artificial tree, had it for 4 yrs, and it is so much less mess. I secretly love the all white trees, and one day I will buy a small one to decorate just for me. I love the way they look with just one color lights and ornaments.
I couldn't imagine not having a REAL/Live Christmas tree. Not everything is perfect in life, live trees are a great example of that. Not all branches are symetrical and we have to adjust the decorations as so. Just like people- this is a great teaching tool for the kids. Perfection is FAKE.
