One of my coworkers is trying to redecorate her apartment on a very tight budget, so we’ve been talking a lot about things that she can do herself to dress up her barren walls. She keeps saying that she’s not very crafty, but I have to disagree after some of the things that she’s done.

Paint is one really inexpensive way to give anything a new look. She repainted these red shelves in a darker color that works much better with her décor.



She also made some easy artwork with just fabric a few pieces of wood and a stapler.



For someone who says she's not very crafty, I think she's doing pretty well and she's saving money in the process.
