I love hydrangea. I have since I was a little girl. We used to have big bushes of them growing in front of our house and on summer days I could smell their sweet scent every time I ran in or out of the front door. It wasn’t until I got older that I also came to appreciate how easy they are to grow. That was an important factor when it came time to choose plants for my landscape. I wanted something that would be low maintenance and beautiful so I planted a few hydrangea and a lilac tree, among other easy-to-grow plants.

So, I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I came into work I found this beautiful hydrangea plant on my desk. The new Twist-n-Shout lacecap hydrangea from the Endless Summer Collection will be joining the collection’s original mophead hydrangea and their Blushing Bride Hydrangea macrophillia in 2009. Now I just have to take it home and find a place to plant it.
