Why You Shouldn't Cancel Unused Credit Cards
I have several store credit cards that I never use. I think I probably opened them to get an extra 10 percent off my purchase, but now I don't really see the point of running up their balances, even if I pay them off at the end of the month. Instead they sit in a drawer and every now and then I think I should probably cancel them. Well, as it turns out, canceling my unused credit cards may not be the best thing for my credit score. Carmen Wong Ulrich explains why you shouldn't cancel your unused cards.
