An Avocado Bathroom: Before and After
Ordinarily, when I hear "avocado bathroom" I have flashbacks of unattractive '70s decor. But I love this bathroom renovation by GardenWeb user equest17. Check out the before and after photos below. Can you believe that she only spend $75 to renovate? The countertops, which she painted herself, saved her a bundle of money and, from the pictures, you can't even tell they're not granite.

The remodel of this bathroom is amazing. I want to do something similar in my kitchen. How long did the countertop take you to complete?
She painted the countertop?!? How durable is that going to be?
It's still avocado.....
I think the before picture is more warm and inviting than the redo. The redo looks like an old no tell motel.
The new dark shower curtain tends to deaden the room.
I would have chosen something in a mild white or clear look, with a fern or plant pattern instead...& painted the walls a lighter different shade than the cocoa...
wonderful. went from fugly to ugly.
This is Beautiful. I worked in plumbing for a LONG time and we had a store.. I thought that color was pretty with the right decor - shower curtain and the counter tops look great. Good for you.. we all need to save a little money where ever we can right now! It looks Fabulous !
