I'm a big fan of oversized inflatable lounge chairs for floating lazily around the pool on a hot summer day, but now air-filled furniture is making its way indoors with some very upscale options.
Created by Italian designer Mario Bellini for Meritalia, and shown for the first time at the 2009 International Furniture Fair in Milan, these fun furniture pieces are made from steel mesh and recycled fiber frames and then filled with air. Fun for a playroom, but I'm guessing they're going to be a little pricey.

Looking for a classic Chesterfield-style sofa? Here's one with a twist—a blow-up version made from PVC from another European designer. It comes with an electric pump for easy inflating and looks pretty comfortable but the price tag's pretty high at 379 euros (that's more than $500) for a 2-seat option.

While these first two options are fun, here's something a little more practical. It's a fabric-covered inflatable headboard that mounts to your wall. Available in multiple colors, fabrics and sizes, there are options to suit most decorating styles for $70 - $140 at Target.com.

I haven’t been sleeping well lately. I toss and turn and wake up repeatedly throughout the night. As a result I’m really tired most of the time. I’m starting to suspect that I need a new mattress. Yes, surprisingly, the key to a better night’s sleep could be as simple as changing your mattress. Here’s one that I’ve been coveting—the Sequin Bed from designer Vera Wang by Serta. It’s really comfortable, as I discovered when I had the chance to try it out a few weeks ago. The inner spring and latex foam construction make it both soft and supportive, while the Sensura fabric cover is luxurious, like Vera Wang’s dresses.
